Anti-Hazing & Anti-Discrimination Policy
Hazing is against the policies, rules and regulations of Delta Rho Eta Sorority and is not permitted.
No individual, chapter or sub-entity of Delta Rho Eta Sorority, Inc. shall adopt a policy that is in conflict with the national policies and laws of the Sorority as stated below and in the Constitution and Bylaws of Delta Rho Eta Sorority, Inc.
What Is Hazing?
Hazing is "any action taken or situation created, intentionally, whether on or off sorority premises, to produce mental or physical discomfort, embarrassment, harassment or ridicule. Such activities and situations include creation of excessive fatigue, physical and psychological shocks; wearing publicly apparel which is conspicuous and not normally in good taste; engaging in public stunts and jokes; morally degrading or humiliating games and activities; late night sessions which interfere with non-sorority responsibilities; and any other activities which are not consistent with the regulations and policies of Delta Rho Eta Sorority".
Violations of this policy subjects the chapter to national supervision and the violator(s) to expulsion from Delta Rho Eta Sorority.
All members of Delta Rho Eta Sorority should have a positive influence in the direction and achievements of our community. All sorority activities should promote self-worth, human dignity and a positive image of our sorority. The Sorority prohibits the sponsoring of, or participation in, any activities including competitive games that are destructive, demeaning, abusive, which promote divisiveness or promote a negative image of our community, the Greek letter organization community and/or Delta Rho Eta Sorority as a whole.
Delta Rho Eta Sorority is committed to an anti-discrimination policy in its selection of members. The Sorority is exclusive to women who were female at birth, but it is consciously and proactively inclusive of racial identity, ethnicity, national origin, ancestry, religious affiliation, age, socioeconomic status, marital status, language, physical and mental disability, and immigration status.
